Acceptable Use Policy

This policy forms part of the eScripts Terms and Conditions and applies to everyone who uses the website, app or related services, including practitioners and business team members.

You may not:

• use eScripts for unlawful, fraudulent or dishonest purposes;
• create, upload or rely on forged, altered or fabricated receipts, invoices, logbooks, statements or other evidence;
• use the platform to support a false, exaggerated or misleading tax claim or submission;
• impersonate another person, business, practitioner or eScripts staff member;
• access another user's account or records without authorisation, or attempt to bypass authentication, role permissions or row-level security;
• introduce malware, or conduct penetration testing, vulnerability scanning or load testing without our prior written authorisation;
• scrape, crawl, bulk-extract or resell platform data, or place unreasonable load on the service;
• upload content that infringes intellectual property or other rights;
• abuse the AI assistant, including attempts to extract other users' data, generate unlawful content or evade platform safeguards;
• upload another person's personal information without the authority or lawful basis to do so;
• circumvent plan limits, trial allowances, export locks or billing, including by creating multiple accounts to avoid paying; or
• resell, sublicense or provide the service to third parties without our agreement.

Where you upload information about your own clients, employees or dependants, you must have a lawful basis to do so and must handle it consistently with POPIA. eScripts provides the tools; you remain the person responsible for the accuracy and lawfulness of what you record.

If you discover a vulnerability or a security concern, report it privately to info@escripts.live instead of exploiting it or disclosing it publicly. We appreciate good-faith reports and will respond as quickly as we reasonably can.

Where we reasonably suspect a breach of this policy, we may investigate, limit functionality, suspend or terminate access, and where required by law report the matter to the relevant authority. We act proportionately and, where practical and lawful, will tell you what we have done and why.

Suspension for abuse does not automatically delete your records; retention and deletion are handled under our Privacy Notice.
